Maydene Max Perpetual Trophy

Offered for the Field Spaniel an overseas visitor would “most like to take home with him or her.” Donated by Phyllis Goodwin in 1995, Maydene Field Spaniels, England, it is a silver plated loving cup trophy on walnut base, to be awarded by an overseas Field Spaniel fancier exhibitor/visitor attending the FSSA National Specialty show on a basis of observation at the specialty event. It is to be a “fun trophy.” The name of the winner is to be kept secret until announced during the awards presentations. The name of the winner and year are engraved on a plate on the trophy base each year that the trophy is awarded. As the trophy offer requires award by an overseas visitor, there may be years in which the trophy is not awarded. In the event that there is more one eligible “visitor,” the National Specialty Show Committee shall choose from among the visitors to adjudicate the trophy. Commemorative plaques are awarded with this trophy. Commemorative plaques are awarded to trophy winners. Winners (beginning with 2017) of the Maydene Max Perpetual Trophy are listed below.
